Are responsible for investigating, determining liability, confirming coverage, establishing damages and negotiating settlements for commercial litigated and non-litigated claims in a multi-state environment. . Work closely with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, police and fire departments, special investigators, attorneys, expert witnesses, members of the medical profession and all other persons pertinent to the investigation and processing of claims. Education Requirements Four-year college degree. Outside insurance education, e.g., CPCU or GCA is preferred. Experience Requirements Successful completion of the Senior Claims Representative Certification process required, including all prerequisites, required tool proficiencies (i.e., Xactimate, Collosus, etc.) and exams. External candidates have 90 days from date of hire to complete the process, and should have a minimum of two years of prior claims experience.
