General Description: Under the general direction of Assistant Director, The Job Placement counselors is a critical part of Capacity Building for this program. He/She will be responsible for establishing and maintaining job and internship placements for jobseekers, as well as doing follow-up with employers and jobseekers. He/She is also important front-line workers in an effort to establish KCC as a responsive, flexible training site for NYCs hospitality industry. Other Duties: Strong knowledge of job search strategies. Ability to work with a diverse population. Ability to work effectively with staff, associates and internal and external constituents. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing one-on-one and with groups. Technology managements and data skills are required. Other duties as assigned.Salary:$37,000-$42,000 Core Competencies/Qualifications: Bachelor degree. Proven success with similar position, familiarity with objectives and responsibilities outlined. Ability to work independently, carry out complex assignments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as follow up and organizational skills. Technology managements and data skills are required. Position will remain open until filled.
