Huron's Health and Education Consulting Practice provides assistance to hospitals, health systems, physicians, managed care organizations, academic medical centers, colleges, universities, and pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. Job Description: Managers lead financial and operational consulting engagements. This position requires experience managing projects in hospitals, health systems, or academic medical centers with significant clinical research operations. Managers will perform analyses and develop recommendations to improve operational and financial compliance. Responsibilities include: • Fostering working relationships with client personnel at all levels; • Managing multiple project teams simultaneously at disparate locations; • Facilitating client meetings; • Developing team work plans and coordinating project team activities; • Client billing for consulting services; • Coaching/mentoring Analysts and Associates; • Actively participating in practice development; • Leading/supporting prospective client pursuits; • Identifying and pursuing new Huron business opportunities with existing clients.

Job Requirements: • Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences/Public Policy/Healthcare Administration or related field; • Advanced Degree in Healthcare Administration/Business Administration (e.g. MHA, MPH or MBA) or related field is preferred; • Certification in coding, e.g. CPC, CPC-H, CCS-P, etc • 4+ years of work experience in the clinical research/healthcare administration/healthcare compliance/healthcare consulting field, including at least 2 years of project management; • Must have strong analytical, report writing, process mapping, and communication skills • Evidence of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and web-based programs; • Prior consulting experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred. Additional skills include: • A high degree of organization and being detail oriented; • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience facilitating group meetings and interview sessions; • Strong analytical problem solving skills; • Demonstrated ability to work independently; • Significant project management experience; • Ability to manipulate data and handle large databases; • Being open to extensive travel.
