General Description: Neuroethologist/Neurophysiologist with emphasis on analysis of neural mechanisms underlying behavior to join a very active group of neuroscientists. The experience and ability to participate in a thriving Masters program in Animal Behavior and Conservation is desirable. Other Duties: Responsibilities include maintaining an active research program, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas related to the candidates scholarly and research interests, advising students and supervising graduate and undergraduate student research.Salary:$75,000 - $80,000 Core Competencies/Qualifications: The individual hired must have a Ph.D., an active program of research that can enlist undergraduate and graduate students and have the ability to obtain external funding. The potential to obtain external funding is necessary for junior rank and a history of funding required for more senior candidates. Post-doctoral research experience preferred. An appointment to the CUNY doctoral faculty is possible and credentials appropriate for that appointment are desirable. Special attention will be given to candidates whose teaching experience involves urban ethnically diverse populations and who are sensitive to the cultural dimensions of students experiences. Position will remain open until filled.
