General Description: POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: EXECTUTIVE DIRECTOR Hunter College School of Social Work has established an innovative Research and Training Institute to support NYC Administration for Childrens Services efforts to expand the capacity of all NYC child welfare sectors in performing safety & risk assessment? protocols in response to the city-wide • Improving Outcomes for Children? reform underway in child welfare. The executive director would help develop curriculum, train, and administer the Institute, as well as work with child welfare stakeholders on deepening/refining its work to protect children and strengthen families and communities in the future. Successful candidate must have extensive (8 years) child welfare experience, previous executive responsibility, curriculum development and training expertise, preferably in safety & risk assessment, as well as MSW or equivalent degree. Excellent salary & benefits. Other Duties: Experience in working directly in varied communities and developing collaboratives involving a variety of constituencies. Must be responsive to short-term needs of funders and interested in long-term development of innovative training models.Salary:$70,000-$90,000 Core Competencies/Qualifications: *Child welfare experience, especially with safety/ risk assessment *Extensive experience in writing curricula and delivering training *Managerial/ administrative experience *Cultural competency * Work with large-scale state and city systems & their stakeholders Position will remain open until filled.
