Description of Duties * Interface with Medicare Contractors, CMS Regional and Central office personnel, Congressional offices, employers and beneficiaries regarding specific Medicare Secondary Payer cases as identified through COB by telephone inquiries, correspondence or related systems. * Ensure the timely and accurate processing of Common Working File (CWF) Assistance Request, inquiries submitted through the Electronic Correspondence Referral System (ECRS), Workers? Compensation Medicare Set-aside Arrangement (WCMSA) cases, Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1993 (OBRA 93) cases, Part D contractor update request received through ECRS and Scanning Issues received from the Workers Compensation Review Contract (WCRC) based on established standards. * Supervise, assist, and assign casework, faxes and special projects to the COB Auditors ensuring adherence to established goals for productivity, quality and accuracy. * Monitor trends in correspondence, telephone inquiries and CWF Referrals; recommends enhancements to departmental systems, policies and procedures. * Ensure all outgoing correspondence adheres to confidentiality of information requirements and departmental standards. * Monitor and troubleshoot problems with transmission of data to and from the CWF Referral application, Workers? Compensation Case Control System, COB mainframe applications and CWF (Medicares national database). * Set up conference calls with Medicare Contractors when trends are identified of inappropriate ECRS submissions. * Provide training and direction, particularly for new employees, and supervise employees with respect to time and attendance. * Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and participate in weekly, monthly conference calls in reference to various work types.

Requirements * Education/Experience: The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors Degree. A minimum of three years of supervisory experience is required. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement. * Skills/Knowledge/Competencies: The ideal candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of Medicare regulations, including knowledge of Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) guidelines. Experience with Microsoft applications is required. Strong oral and written communication skills sufficient to clearly articulate business matters and effectively communicate with internal and external customers are required. Demonstrated ability to analyze information and make independent decisions is essential. The qualified candidate must be highly organized and have the ability to prioritize a heavy workload in a dynamic, fast paced environment, to include working under stringent deadlines.
