General Description: The CUNY School of Professional Studies (SPS) offers programs and courses designed to meet the needs of working professionals, employers, and individuals seeking opportunities for personal growth. Housed within CUNYs Graduate School and University Center, SPS draws on faculty from CUNYs 19 campuses and the vast pool of experts, in a range of fields, from around New York. SPS promises the highest levels of quality and service to its students and faculty.

The Curriculum Developer supports a learning and development program for employees of the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE). OCSE is responsible for helping parents living with their children to obtain financial support from non-custodial parents. The goal of the learning program is to ensure that OCSE 800+ staff and vendors are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out this mission.

The Curriculum Developer will develop curriculum, write policies and procedures, deliver training when needed, and support the management of the training program. Other Duties: Reporting to the Project Director, the Curriculum Developer will:

Use instructional design methods to design and develop courses for OCSE staff and its vendors.

Conduct interviews and workshops to understand child support enforcement procedures and systems needed to identify employee performance gaps as part of developing the curriculum.

Prepare written course materials for instructors and students.

Work with copy editors and graphic designers to produce visually appealing training materials that enhance student learning.

Recruit and hire instructors to deliver classroom-based courses.

Deliver classroom training as needed.

Oversee the work of vendors and independent contractors needed to perform work that cannot be performed by CUNY employees.

Develop plans and logistical requirements for the roll out of courses.

Maintain productive relationships with project stakeholders including representatives of City agencies, University administrators, faculty, staff, and independent contractors.

Other duties as assigned.Salary:$60,000 - $75,000 Core Competencies/Qualifications: Minimum requirements for the position:

Bachelors degree required.A minimum of two (2) years full-time experience directly related to developing education and training programs.

Strong writing skills needed to produce clear and concise materials.

Excellent oral and written communication skills needed to foster productive relationships with diverse staff and constituencies.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding, and complex work environment, with the ability to carry out complex assignments and adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Strong computer skills necessary.

Experience in developing training for information technology systems a plus.

Knowledge of human services programs, and child support enforcement in particular, a plus. Position will remain open until filled.
