Description: Assists store leadership in cashwrap operations to ensure maximum accuracy and compliance with company procedures. Creates a positive customer experience. Supervises other cashiers and provides feedback to the leadership team regarding staff performance. Role models Gap Inc. Purpose, Values, and Behaviors (PVB) in all actions and interactions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Sales Generation: * Completes all components of current cashier training programs. * Ensures proper data integrity procedures are followed. * Line management. * Provides register/cashier training as needed. * Completes all cashier-required transactions with accuracy and efficiency. * Reinforces a rewarding customer experience. 2. Customer Experience: * Offers the Banana Republic Credit Card to all customers. * Trains others on Banana Republic Credit Card benefits. * Handles complex customer service situations in compliance with Policy and Procedures; escalates service issues as appropriate. * Delivers Banana Republic’s service standard when interacting with customers. * Manages incoming customer calls. * Maximizes opportunities at the cashwrap to improve customer loyalty. 3.Staff Supervision: * Is viewed as a resource for other cashiers. * Ensures that all cashwrap policies and procedures are understood and followed. * Ensures accurate data integrity for all transactions. * Trains all new cashiers on operational responsibilities and phone etiquette. * Shares knowledge of customer behaviors to teach others to provide the right type of service. 4. Operations: * Upholds all company policies as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual, including the Field Employee Policy Guide and Code of Business Conduct. * Enforces all Loss Prevention policies and communicates violations to the leadership team or the Code of Business Conduct Hotline. * Manages customer and employee holds. * Maintains, stocks and organizes cashwrap; communicates supply needs. * Audits, follows up and gives feedback on register auditing procedures. * Performs opening and closing register procedures. * Responsible for the integrity of cash flow; prepares banking statements, change order forms and other cash handling forms. 1. Knowledge, skills & abilities: * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Ability to train others and facilitate a training session. * Preferred computer experience or cash flow responsibilities. * Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate. 2. Minimum educational level: * High School graduate or equivalent. 3. Minimum experience: * Ability to handle large amounts of cash. * Prior experience working in a team setting. 4. Physical Requirements: * Ability to maneuver around the salesfloor, stockrooms, offices and cashwrap. * Ability to safely lift and carry 30 lbs. 5.Schedule Requirements: * Open availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, store openings and closings, to meet the needs of the business.
