BearingPoints Financial Services Technology Group is currently seeking qualified individuals to fill open needs for experienced Managers. Managers are responsible for the oversight and quality of projects and/or programs. They lead the development of project/program scope, staffing, cost, delivery/release plan, and provide direction to all members of the team. The Manager, working with a Senior Manager or Managing Director, is responsible for the delivery of project/program deliverables, scope control, cost control, management reporting, billing, and client satisfaction. Job Summary Responsible for the management and direction of multiple, large or complex projects or functions as a highly skilled individual contributor. May assume an organization-wide leadership role for a specific technology or process. Manages relationships with some clients and has frequent and direct contact with the most senior level managers and executives to provide technical expertise and project direction. Shares practice management and performance management responsibilities including the management of project teams and development and review of staff. Recognized and accepted as a leader in the practice. Supports high performing, positive team environment. Has established network and referral contacts. Supports retention efforts within the team to keep team turnover below 20%%. Maintains high personal chargeability of 80%%. Maintains high group chargeability of 80%%. Consistently meets or exceeds client expectations as demonstrated by receiving follow on work. Manages at least $1M in net revenue annually. Manages engagements or projects to consistently achieve practice revenue and profit objectives. Demonstrates ability to plan and execute complex engagements or projects. Leads development of at least $1M in net sales booking annually. Participates in team net sales bookings of at least $1.5M. Assists the business development team with writing and presenting proposals for large or complex projects. Recognized internally and externally for knowledge and expertise in field. Demonstrates examples of knowledge sharing outside engagement setting. Minimum Qualifications .5+ years capital markets industry experience consulting or line experience implementing custom applications or vendor products in investment banking, asset management, custodian, clearing/settlement, or other capital markets institutions. Must have demonstrated experience with technical, application, and/or infrastructure architectures, constructing delivery and release plans for highly complex software development/implementation, managing teams of 10-100 members, formal work effort estimating, .2-3 years of Calypso experience and Advent Geneva platforms. .3+ years experience leading large projects with integrated cross-functional teams. .3+ years experience in the capital markets practice of a large SI/consulting firm such as Accenture, BearingPoint, Cap Gemini, CGI, Deloitte, IBM, etc. .3+ years leadership and project management experience. .2+ years programming experience in C, C++, or java. .Experience in managing multiple simultaneous projects. .Candidates must live in the New York Metro Area or be willing to relocate. .Candidates must have the ability to accommodate a Monday-Friday out-of-town travel schedule for 12+ weeks at a time. .Bachelors degree or equivalent. Desired Qualifications/Experience .MBA or other advanced degree. .Implementation/configuration experience with product vendors in one or more of the following areas is highly desired: Technology .Calypso and Geneva Advent Platform .TIBCO EMS .TIBCO BusinessWorks .
