More information about this job: Overview: This role is accountable to deliver artwork on calendar for the Liz Claiborne brands.

Responsibilities: .Work in partnership with the creative team, under the direction and guidance of the CAD Manager. .Promote and improve positive "team work", communication and organization between CAD and internal/external working partners (Including: Color, Design, Merchandising, Fabric R&D, Overseas Offices, Technology Vendors, Print Studios) .Maintain current CAD standard procedures for file naming conventions, directory structure, archiving, color matching, Ai/Spec connectivity, and on-line submission process to production partners. .Research and share CAD methods to achieve desired knit and woven aesthetics, painterly techniques and accurate construction qualities .Research and share current trends, colors, styles and design technologies via shopping trips, studio visits, courses (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark) and conferences. .Understand and design into approved seasonal concepts, colors and line plans .Ensure assigned CAD work is presentable for key meetings and mill-ready for submission by calendar targets. .Research, design and execute seasonal groups and quick-turn projects as directed by supervisor

Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION: .Minimum 2 years designing : textile on U4ia CAD for businesses comparable in volume and quality to Liz Claiborne. Past experience designing textiles using Photoshop or other programs will not be considered. .Experience in both knits and wovens programs in U4ia. .Past experience setting artwork up to be factory ready, i.e. putting into specific repeat sizes and working around color limitations .Complete advanced studies in one or more of the following: Fine Art, Textiles, Graphics, Apparel Design and Merchandising.

Required Skills: SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED: .Strong computer skills and experience using CAD and graphic technology, U4ia, Photoshop, and Illustrator software for knits and wovens.
