Our professionals have participated in many complex bankruptcy, insolvency and turnaround cases, from strategy through implementation and project management. The New York office of BDO Seidman, LLP serves a diverse range of private and publicly owned clients across a comprehensive array of industries including Manufacturing, Technology and Retail. Key Responsibilities: * Work closely with the Partners and decision-makers * Work with debtor clients in restructuring their businesses in and out of Chapter 11 * Develop business plans, cash flow projections and budgets * Assist with refinancing efforts and sale transactions * Assist clients with downsizing operations, and meeting operational and financial goals. * Work with buyers such as hedge funds, equity sponsors and companies in acquisition due diligence * Assist creditors with obtaining the most favorable distribution of assets from companies undergoing formal bankruptcy proceedings or informal workouts * Evaluate management to determine ability to operate and reorganize * Ensure compliance with all court filing requirements * Investigate transactions with insiders, financial institutions and other creditors to determine causes of action * Review financial statements and recommend changes * Function at a high level with clients as a business advisor * Utilize your skills in interactive modeling, operational and financial analysis and preparation of financial memorandums * Leverage the Firms leadership to expand your network of client contacts in the industry Qualifications: * Four-year degree in accounting, finance or equivalent * CPA - a plus, and CTP, CIRA designations are helpful * 3+ years experience in Audit, Financial Recovery or Restructuring Services, preferably with a National Public Accounting Firm Please note that only those individuals whose qualifications match our current needs will be considered applicants and will receive responses from BDO.
