Description: Job Title: Book Club Manager- Club Leo Requisition #: NY4486 Area of Interest: Marketing Business Division: Book Clubs Wkly Std Hours: 35 Days Per Week: Std Work Week (Mon - Fri) Position Type: Full-Time Regular City: New York - SoHo State: New York Description: Book Club Manager, Club Leo Responsibilities include: * Create catalog product lists that meet budget guidelines * Craft monthly promotional look and content that meet the needs of our customers * Identify new book and non-book products suitable for Club Leo * Acquire new titles and negotiate print runs through negotiations with outside publishers and make title recommendations to the Spanish publishing division * Analyze results * Keep track of new product developments and trends created and/or purchased by the English language book clubs for potential use on Club Leo * Develop ideas for Spanish teacher pages * Manage day-to-day matters that affect Club Leo * Coordinate print runs with other Scholastic divisions Requirements: * B.A. degree, preferably from a Latin America or Spanish university * Expertise in Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel * Interest in education and Spanish childrens books * Excellent spoken and written Spanish and good English * Native Spanish speaker preferred * Prior experience with childrens books is a definate advantage * Prior experience with childrens education is another advantage Please include salary requirements in cover letter.
