Business Overview Operations & Services Group (OSG) provides superior customer service to Fidelity’s brokerage businesses through innovation, dedication and commitment to excellence. With seven operating divisions located throughout the country, OSG provides securities execution, clearance, and information management services to retail, institutional and correspondent clients. OSG performs tens of thousands of over-the-counter, listed equities, options, bonds, and mutual fund transactions daily. Position Description The Brokerage Operations Senior associate will be responsible for evaluating bond redemption announcement information by interacting daily with depositories, agent banks, vendors and solicitors to ensure proper interpretation and processing information. The associate should also be strong in researching and resolving residual differences and assist management in guiding other representatives in the group. Candidates must have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, prepare various MIS reports for the senior management team, handle exception processing for various correspondents, and troubleshoot within the area. The individual will be part of the decision making process that affects systems, daily workflows and escalated issues. These decisions will be based on cost effectiveness and to minimize risk and exposure to the firm. They will be expected to process these functions with little supervision and direction from management. The person will be used for day to day operations as the business needs and/or escalated items. In addition, the person will be relied upon to identify and escalate issues encountered in day to day processing to management

Primary Responsibilities * Receive and evaluate bond redemption announcements for upcoming payments * Research and resolve open items to reduce/eliminate capital charges and reserves. * Assist management in analysis of complex bond redemption announcements, which may include currency exchanges * Ensure accurate movement of money and securities within strict time parameters * To provide "World Class Customer Service" experience to our customer base. * Keep management apprised of any problems * Provide analysis that will disclose risk in processing and assist management in problem solving. * Trouble shoot within area

Qualifications

Education and Experience * College degree preferred * At least 5 years Redemption /Corporate Action Experience Skills and Knowledge * Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills * Ability to work independently as well as function within a unit. * Ability to work at various paces based upon volumes and scheduling. * Excellent research and problem solving skills * Excellent customer services and PC skills * Specific bond redemption industry knowledge * Knowledge of DTCC and Bloomberg systems a plus Business Overview Fidelity Investments is one of the worlds largest providers of financial services, with custodied assets of more than $3.4 trillion, including managed assets of $1.6 trillion as of October 31, 2007.
