Description UI/Front-end Developer General Description: As a front-end developer you will be responsible for implementing flexible and tem plated UIs for a collection of large international travel websites. You will play an active development role in cross functional teams that are comprised of: Information Architects, Visual Design, and Back-End development teams. As a member of the User Interface Technology group you will need key skills in the areas of browser compliance and standards based front-end development, as well as experience in templating technologies. Essential Skills: - Strong Standards Based HTML Development (3+ Years) - CSS (3+ Years) - Current experience with a templating framework (1+ Year) - Strong Javascript (3+ Years) - XML (2+ years) - Current Experience with Content Management Systems (1+ Year) - Experience with such IDEs as IntelliJ, Eclipse and or Dreamweaver - Source version control (Subversion/CVS) - Good written and verbal skills Desirable Skills: - Groovy Scripting - Grails - Freemarker Templating Language - Alfresco CMS - YUI JS Framework - Experience with Agile development process

Qualifications EDUCATION: Bachelor degree or equivalent EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years related experience; Good Communication skills, written and verbal; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Application Architecture: Identifies common business components and services that can be leveraged by multiple applications. Engineering Specifications: Understands, interprets and translates engineering requirements into the necessary designs and documentation. Software Design: Understands standard software modeling techniques used to describe system designs; designs components of larger software systems; utilizes existing system components that can be leveraged by multiple applications; understands capabilities of environment . Software Process Knowledge: Knowledge of end to end product life cycle as well as product operational cycle -conception to delivery to ongoing operations. Software Programming: Understands concepts of source code control and how to use tools; translates the design specification into physical code; creates and assembles code modules from existing code repositories; has detailed knowledge of one or more programming languages; uses common development tools for required language, platform, database, middleware and environment. Systems Analysis: Determines how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes, knowledge of products and system architecture.
