Description: General Tasks/Responsibilities:


-Perform credit analyses and prepare loan applications for existing and prospective Utilities customers of the Bank.


- Independent monitoring of assigned loan portfolio.


Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:


-Prepare credit analyses and loan reviews for US /Canada based Utilities companies (including also selected Latin American accounts) and their subsidiaries in connection with loan, leasing and other off-balance sheet transactions, syndicated or bi-lateral deals, mergers & acquisitions. Analyses encompass the historical and projected financial and operational performance of the borrower, and any portfolio and structural issues related to a specific transaction.


-Monitor operating and financial performance of existing customers and prepare monitoring reports in regular intervals.


-Follow major trends in the utilities industry as well as the development of the regulatory framework of the sector.


- Support head office in the preparation of the annual industry report for the utilities sector especially regarding US and Latin American aspects.


- Maintain all accounts, records, files and reporting in compliance with regulatory guidelines and the Bank's own policies and procedures


- Communicate effectively with marketing officers, management and Head Office or other branches of the Bank


- Contribute to product development and any required special reports or projects.


Qualifications Required:


-Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, and/or MBA/CFA or willingness to obtain, in the case of advanced degrees or certifications.


- Formal bank credit training program or commensurate experience.


- Three years experience in corporate credit analysis at a major commercial bank ideally with focus on Utilities companies.


- Well versed in current business software tools and the ability to access and to research financial databases and internal management information systems. Experience in financial modeling especially cash flow projections.


- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
