Job description The Associate Partner will serve as the single point of contact for identified client(s) and target(s) and is responsible for developing and managing State/Local Solutions client accounts, totaling approximately $10 million or more in managed IBM Global Business Services (GBS) business. New and add-on sales into targeted accounts will be required, as well as maintaining executive relationships with all identified clients and prospective clients. The Associate Partner will develop sales strategy for targeted State/Local accounts. This effort shall include account planning, lead tracking, proposal and presentation development, in collaboration with the Sales Capture team, delivery, and deal closing. It is anticipated that the AP will have State/Local government sales experience. The AP will be able to develop, with S&D, strategies that will address State priorities and grow IBM GBS services business. The AP will be the key GBS go-to-market leader for those states and will be expected to collaborate with the other services LOBs and IBM brands, communicate as appropriate to S&D executives, train and mentor S&D CRs on GBS capabilities. Three years experience in State/Local government. Three years experience services sales, proposal & presentation development & project budgeting. Strong team leadership skills and willingness to delegate to promote consultant and client relationships. Demonstrated knowledge of government business & information technology, government business/clinical operations & process knowledge. Demonstrated experience building relationships at C-level in government agencies. Demonstrated experience with complex solution sales, preferrably in a government or public sector market place. Demonstrated ability to lead teams who develop, price, and propose complex solutions in response to government requests for proposals. Government and negotiations experience beneficial.
