Principal Responsibilities:
Preparing periodic P&L.
Monthly and on-going pricing review to ensure reasonable valuation.
Critically reviewing trading activity with the objective of highlighting unusual or incorrect entries and understanding P&L drivers.
Assessing risk inherent in trading positions.
Identifying trades booked incorrectly in the processing systems.
Liaising with operations to reconcile servicing activity, in a problem solving capacity.
Interaction with business unit and various controllers groups.
Preparing accounts for posting to the general ledger and following month-end procedures.
Provide support to managers on various bank initiatives and business integration projects
Experience/Skills:
Minimum 3 years of related product control or operations experience.
Knowledge of or experience with loan products is required (preferably personal/private or corporate lending).
Desire to own and take responsibility for developing and improving the control process.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and detail orientation.
Ability to work in a team under pressure
