Rapid growth in our Insurance Regulatory Insurance Consulting Practice group across the country has created the opportunity to expand our national practice. Position Overview The Specialist - Troubled Company and Insolvency Consulting Services will be responsible for supporting the operational evaluation and assessment of a potential troubled company, runoff entity, and/or receivership management. This position has significant opportunity for advancement as well as personal and professional growth. Specific Duties and Responsibilities ? Work with Managing Director, Director and Manager for responsible for this service line concerning the execution of engagements.. ? Participate and conduct Troubled Company and Insolvency projects, on behalf of RSM McGladrey regulatory clients. ? Execute appropriate responsibilities related to the approved workplan for an engagement. ? Execute approved scope changes to the work plan as may be required. ? Assist in defining specific skills needed to fill roles defined during proposal phase ? Participate as appropriate in client status meetings, review deliverables, and assist in identifying issues which will be communicated to the client. ? Maintain an active network in the business community, attending events that can generate leads or opportunities or at a minimum provide valuable insight to the local market. Qualifications ? Bachelors Degree, MBA and/or professional certification/s preferred ? Credentials including; Special Deputy Receiver (SDR), Certified Insurance Receiver (CIR) and/or Accredited Insurance Receiver (AIR) preferred. ? Insurance Industry exposure with a concentration in operational areas, including claims, underwriting, and/or reinsurance. ? Demonstrated problem solving skills ? PC skills, including experience in using software for producing presentations, spreadsheets, and project planning ? Demonstrated history of project management experience ? Ability to interact with all levels including executives and senior managers ? Strong interpersonal, presentation, analytical and statistical sampling skills ? Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and assignments ? Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required ? Dynamic/flexible demeanor with exceptional client service skills ? Forward-thinking leader with a collaborative focus who can consult effectively with key constituents and become recognized as a valued resource ? Must be self-motivated and possess a sense of urgency ? Skilled in team building and team development ?
