Description: * This position is located in NEw York, NEw York * Focusing on men/womens wovens. * Partner with NYPP and mills/vendors to increase sampling in the region. * Work with R&D during wash development. * Ensure availability of samples and factory time for wash development for wash trips. * Assist vendor and technical staff in development of product that meets design’s vision and margin/cost parameters. * Work with factories to implement new ideas in production setting. * Research and develop feasible fabric according to design vision. * Assists manager to partner with R&D to develop production ready samples for presentation * Sampling process * Coordinate pre-production package and provide input regarding fabric/trim details, initial costs, wash standards, etc. * Coordinate sample development process to ensure samples are produced and delivered on a timely basis. * Tracks samples and product development * Prepare spec packages and send to vendor * Communicate with vendors to ensure adherence to T&A calendars to achieve on-time delivery. * Escalate issues to manager as needed. * Track shipments and communicate status to NYPP. * Escalate issues and exceptions to associate/manager as needed * Track fabric inventory at factories/mills and update manager as needed. * Partner with S&VD production team * Ensure understanding of the original design concept * Ensure a seamless transition to bulk production. * Fabric and Trim * Coordinate and track fabric orders for all sample development needs. * Coordinate and track trim orders for all sample development needs. * Service provider to Gap, Inc. vendors, NYPP, SF production and merchandising, and GIS Americas production team * Close working relationship with all GIS Americas team members * Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications * Ability to handle multiple tasks * Organized * Basic math skills * Detail oriented * Self motivated * Strong written and verbal communication skills * University degree or equivalent * 1-2 years production experience * Wet Processing Knowledge
