* To apply for this job onlineclick here More information about this job: Overview: To provide design assistance for all product lines for C-9 Men's to include both internally manufactured and externally sourced product. Responsibilities include research of competitor and related products, assisting in the development of product specifications, and maintenance of color information for each season. Additional responsibilities include coordinating a full range of services for the Product Design and Development department.

Responsibilities: Use explanatory phrases telling why, how, where or how often the task or duties are performed. • Begin to develop patterns and execute fit corrections in conjunction with Design Director(s) • Recognize and evaluate fit criteria to validate product fit parameters • Assist in design and development of creative, focused visual presentations • Develop trend/fashion market awareness (ensure competitiveness of product(s)/line(s) • Assist in of textiles/garment construction Under general guidance of supervisor: • Assist the Designer in new product research and development projects. • Research current trends, color and fashion/sports related products to ensure competitiveness of design concepts • Obtain and organize color information by season and project. Position is responsible for ordering pantones by # from a service (vendor), receiving and keeping track of them. • Coordinate design and technical efforts with Designers for fashion product lines. Incumbent must understand piece goods and trimming market along with all design procedures and specifications. • Establish initial product specifications • Research raw materials and trims as directed • Provide assistance with logo/graphic development, print/ stripe development and seasonal board presentations

Qualifications: MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED: AA Fashion Degree or BA/BS Degree required. BFA, CAD experience desired. Strong communication skills. Able to multi-task in fast-paced environment. Demonstrated creative ability (sketching - freehand and technical). Superior computer skills. Self-motivated. Ability to work in team environment.
