Job Description: Cisco seeks an Advanced Services Project Manager. In this role, you will be focusing on ensuring the success of customer deployments, managing the planning and execution of optimization efforts, and coordinating the interaction of internal, partner and customer resources toward the completion of key services projects. This position requires a strong knowledge of Cisco technologies and solutions, as well as an ability to effectively manage projects, timelines, budgets and resources. The ideal candidate has extensive industry experience and is comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment that is global in reach. The AS Project Manager position: * Is viewed as Regional Service Delivery Leader - Proactive/Reactive balance * Provides thought leadership and actively participates in strategic planning with SDE, Account team and customer * Directly supervises regional CA team * Drives service and operations to support subscription and transactional business * Has working knowledge of core technologies such as Voice, HSD, Optical and Video Networks * Leverages internal Cisco network to accomplish expected tasks * Compiles and complete weekly and monthly reports and metrics * Assists other team managers on short term projects * 25%%+ travel Typically requires: - BS/BA degree or equivalent, plus 3 years-related experience in networking, telecommunications industry OR min 4-5 years managing LAN and/or WAN network implementation and support Project Management experience in the deployment of leading edge technologies. - Has good negotiation and presentation skills Understands the organization, aims and processes. - Has 2+ year experience developing cross-functional team project tracking - Has 2+ year service provider environment experience - Has embarked on a program of formal Project Management training - Has knowledge and/or experience with routing, routing protocols, switching, internet and general network architecture. - Has an understanding of the legal issues with contracts Has an understanding of project scoping and risk assessment techniques If you are interested in this position please apply to the req at this time and paste your resume into the resume text field.
