Oversee the conceptualization, design & layout of assigned special advertising sections; design & create mock ups, sales & marketing collateral as they pertain to the special advertising section department; ensure all design elements adhere to WSJ design quality & standards; oversee art/edit workflow in planning & production phases; source, manage & foster illustration, photography & freelance work; work closely with advertising services & sometime clients to ensure that quality layouts with advertising flexibility. Position Requirements . Minimum of seven years experience & demonstrated ability in publication design; expert skill in the use of InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator; excellent written & verbal skills; must be current on design/production/printing trends; ability to meet deadlines; flexible, dedicated attitude with an ability to work with all types of clients.
