Job description The Challenge An opportunity to enhance a team of vibrant, intelligent and motivated professionals to deliver significant IBM Cognos Innovation Center content and revenue contribution with the ultimate goal of sustaining year over year Office of Finance growth through the following key activities:

* Enhancing the existing IBM Cognos Innovation Center asset base by developing Blueprints incorporating best practices and thought-leadership, and partnering with Industry Marketing, SIs and partners to deliver content. * Supporting Field teams to create and accelerate sales pipeline through the effective use of the assets offered by the IBM Cognos Innovation Center. * Working with customers on successfully deploying IBM Cognos solutions and building customer communities focused on developing best practices and to create successful references. * Increasing field and customer adoption of our Performance Blueprints and thereby driving quality and quantity of our exclusive IBM Cognos Innovation Center membership.

Your Expertise This role requires tight integration with various teams across IBM Cognos and a can-do attitude. You have knowledge of and enjoy working with our technology (IBM Cognos TM1 primary) from a customer and presales perspective. Challenges motivate you and you thrive in a fast-paced environment. Product knowledge - It is important that you understand the breadth of our products. From an IBM Cognos TM1 perspective, you need to be highly proficient in using the tools (this role includes varying levels of Blueprint development, product demonstration for shows, forums, prospect sales support and Blueprint enhancements). The ideal candidate will have knowledge of our IBM Cognos BI and/or Planning solutions, or a willingness to learn the fundamentals so they can speak to them in sales situations or customer visits. Business acumen - You enjoy Performance Management. Many of your dealings will be with customers and prospects. Its critical to understand the intricacies of the journey theyre on, and be able to speak their language. The people youll speak with range from office of finance leadership to IT management and span into operations to include many people across multiple lines-of-business (HR, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, etc.) Team player - You love to work as part of a global team. This includes building strong relationships within an extended team in the field-sales, presales, services-as well as within other organizations like marketing and partners. Effective communicator - You must be as comfortable (and effective) speaking with a prospect 1:1 as you are presenting to a group of customers, partners and colleagues. Written communication skills are equally important. Leadership -You are a self-starter and want to get things done. You enjoy taking the initiative and formulate strategies for creating success and value. You are able to act as a mentor for other professionals, both within and outside of the IBM Cognos Innovation Center. Multi-cultural - The successful candidate must be able to readily travel between geographies and effectively interface with local people in those geographies. Highly motivated - This role requires the ability to get things done. Challenges dont scare you and you like to deal with new opportunities. * You should expect to travel 30-40%% of the time. Travel will be mainly within North America, but could involve trips to Europe and Asia Pacific on occasion. Location
