Our Legal Business Consulting professionals understand the unique challenges corporate law departments face and can assist them in the following areas: litigation readiness, records management consulting, strategic and technology planning, performance management, organizational design, matter and content management, legacy data remediation analysis, and legal process outsourcing evaluation. a Analytic & Forensic Technology services include: Claims administration Computer forensics Data analytics Electronic discovery Legal business consulting a Analytic & Forensic Technology - Data Analytics Managers will direct teams in the gathering, standardization, and analysis of voluminous transactional electronic data, i.e., banking records, general ledgers, broker-dealer records, sales and inventory data.a a Managers can expect to: - Create, manage, and utilize high performance relational databases, i.e., SQL Server, Microsoft Access, OLAP and other proprietary software - Query and mine large data sets to discover transaction patterns, uncover anomalies and filter for targeted information - Design data manipulation interfaces, perform data quality control, develop database reports, and normalize relational data - Provide input with respect to practice technology initiatives and investments - Balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities - Build client base and relationships - Communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management - Coach, mentor, and counsel staff - Effectively communicate, review, provide direction, and job training for staff Analytic & Forensic Technology - Data Analytics team members collaborate with attorneys, forensic accountants, clients, and other investigators to produce analyses in support of an investigation.a This is not a "back-office programmer" position; this is front-line client interaction with tremendous opportunity for growth and advancement. Candidates should have experience mining and analyzing electronic transactional data.a Candidates should also have an undergraduate degree in 1 or more of the following from an accredited college/university (or significant related employment experience): - A dual major/minor combination including Computer Science or Management Information Systems and Business, i.e., Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, Statistics, Mathematics - Electrical or other related Engineering disciplines - Management Information Systems Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is required and experience with all the following as a Manager applicant: - Microsoft Access - Microsoft Visual Basic - Oracle - OLAP tools - SQL, SQL+, SQR, PLSQL Additional strengths for Managers applicants: - Demonstrated experience in business and strategic planning, managing client relationships - Ability to create and deliver client service work that exceeds client expectations - Must possess a consultative orientation and ability to deliver a broad range of innovative and value-added services - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointa - Must be flexible with the travel requirements of client service projects - Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral - Experience in a professional services firm preferred
