Description: Actuary (Pension), Sr. Associate Job Description PricewaterhouseCoopers Human Resource Services (HRS) practice is one of the world’s largest HR, actuarial, and tax consulting businesses, with over 6,000 professionals worldwide. We partner with clients who aim to make their people a sustainable source of competitive advantage. We currently have an opportunity for a Retirement Actuarial Senior Associate within our Retirement Practice in our New York City office. Annually, the Retirement Practice performs valuations for each client to determine funding requirements and the P&L expense for all types of pension and welfare plans. These valuations both determine the current year’s cost of each plan and provide a mechanism to keep in touch with the dynamics of the benefit plan being reviewed - its participant characteristics, its assets and the benefits that generate its liabilities. Additionally, we are also actively involved in ensuring that our client’s benefit programs comply with government regulations and standards while also achieving stated human resource and overall business goals. As a Senior Associate, you will work on both large and small client teams while being responsible for performing and overseeing actuarial valuations of retirement and health & welfare programs. You will work on special projects such as statements, negotiations, benefit calculations, benefit redesigns and asset liability studies. While gaining early exposure to interfacing with clients, you will “grow” with a client as part of a dedicated team of professionals. There is a lot of opportunity to gain exposure to a wide variety of projects working with all levels of management as well as partnering with professionals from other areas of PricewaterhouseCoopers to provide broad-based solutions to clients’ business needs.
