Description: Job Title Account Executive Auto req ID 198BR CBS Business Unit CBS Television Stations Division/Station New York/Internet Station CBS Television Stations Digital Media Department Internet Sales Location New York - New York Job Description The Digital Account Executives primary responsibility is to aggressively pursue digital media ad sales directly with interactive and traditional advertising agencies, as well as directly to all relevant clients and generate national online revenue over our CBS owned and operated TV Stations websites. This position requires a proven track record of driving revenue through the development of long-term relationships with clients and agencies. Candidate must have demostrated the ability to manage complex negotiations to successful closure and delivery, as well as the ability to convert national offline advertising dollars to online. The individual will coordinate the sales and service (along with their Account Manager) of all advertising schedules for their assigned TV station and geographic territory. Reporting to the Regional Director, National Sales, this position will be responsible for regularly reporting advertising sales revenue, sales and inventory forecasting and CPM analysis in relation to plan. Ideal candidate will have an understanding of high tech and consumer sales and marketing. He/she will be on top of shifting media trends, and how the web is impacting marketplaces and companies business models. He/she will demostrate an ability to think creatively, sell strategically and communicate efficiently internally and externally. Required Skills/Experience Required Qualifications/Skills - Grow ad sales revenue and exceed revenue goals by prospecting for new clients in national sales. - Will set and own territory sales agenda including, prioritizing and organizing sales calls based on maximum potential return. - On-going coordination with Regional Director, National Sales on account strategy and sales plans. - Work closely with Ad Sales Operations to coordinate delivery of all ad sales. - Effectively monitor and evaluate the local stations online inventory and their current pricing. - On-going review and evaluation of local station and network inventory. - Regularly manage agency/client relationships. - Meet and exceed revenue goals. - Sell multi-market ad packages to national online and traditional advertising agencies. - Collaborate with Regional Director, National Sales, Director Ad Sales Marketing, Business Development Manager, Director of Research and Editorial staff to help: -- Sell relevant opportunities and helping to develop effective research and innovative marketing tools by pinpointing online consumer trends necessary to create category and advertiser-specific strategic solutions. -- Analyze competitive (local) online media marketplace. -- Prepare and review local market sales reports and periodic forecasts.
