Description: Account Director Full Time Regular Requisition Number: 9233 New York , NY Requirements The Account Director will focus on a list of existing and targeted accounts in the Media & Enterainment space. Candidate will own quota responsibility for the accounts with the expectation to up-sell and cross-sell to any existing account where a Level 3 relationship already exists as well as to penetrate and sell to new prospect accounts. Based on the customer set, candidate will focus on selling Level 3s Content Distribution Network products and IP services. In addition, the Account Director will be required to interact/coordinate/strategize on the overall target account(s) and contribute to the development and implementation of the Account Development Plan. Candidates must have the ability to prospect, sell and close at multiple levels. One must also have the ability to handle complex sales and negotiations and develop integrated solutions to customer requirements. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of the telecommunications industry, and in particular, knowledge of and experience with selling content delivery network services (CDN). Further, the candidate must have the ability to develop strong relations with customers at decision-making levels, work productively in team assignments, define and execute sales strategies and communicate clearly and concisely through professional presentations. The Account Director will be responsible for developing and executing the Account Development Plan and manage the sales cycle to forecast accurately. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with knowledge of the specific accounts, which they would be assigned to sell into and maintain. This individual must be results oriented and have a proven track record showing high leadership qualities. He/she will need to show demonstrated success in dealing with large order volumes, have a history of running and managing groups/accounts and not only thrive on change, but drive it as well. The ideal candidate will have made undeniable contributions to a growing and successful business environment. Required Skills & Experience: * Experience in selling in the region or market. * Technical working knowledge of IP, CDN, data and voice applications. * Financial background and understanding of Total Cost of Ownership model as well as basic contracting procedures (NDA, MSA, etc.). * 3+ years of direct sales experience particularly in the telecommunications industry * Broadcast experience highly desired * Proven track record of success for the bulk of their sales career * Viewed as a Trusted Advisor by their customers * Operates at the CXO level consistently * Top 5%% of Sales Force at the existing employer #C
