JOB SUMMARY The Solution Architect (SA) is a presales resource as well as the primary pre-sales contact for a customer engagement. The SA project manages and assigns Technical Consultants to customer engagements. The SA is a Technical Consultant who has achieved mastery over sales, presentation, documentation, and consulting service delivery skills for their given expertise. The SA does not require a Technical Consultant in presales and has the expertise to perform delivery for the engagements that they are selling. This means above all, the SA demonstrates complete technical expertise in designing Network Solutions (both products and consulting services).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Support District Manager/Account Managers in all presales related effort * Local Vendor Relationship/Business Development activity * Mentor Technical Consultants in technology and sales experience * Manage Technical Consultant through lifecycle of delivery engagement * Must create all Bill Of Materiels/Network Design Templates/Statements of Work for all Network Hardware, Software, and Services related opportunities. * Give customer information to Product Management for customer case studies * Adhere to 48 hourSLAto account manager for abstract/SOW/pricing creation * Build and maintain strong virtual bench of subcontractors within the region

EDUCATION: Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE: * Advanced knowledge of Cisco Systems products. * Previous experience in a pre-sales, advisory, and/or delivery role. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. * Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. * Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. * Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. * Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: * Cisco certification (CCIE, CCNA, and CCDP) preferred. Other industry certifications can be accepted when relevant to high-level detailed design recommendations of network systems engineering and design. * Valid current Drivers license * Valid Credit card to pay for travel expense * Travel 40%%

SKILL REQUIREMENTS * Possess excellent organizational, communication, and technical skills will be required with an emphasis on technical documentation and writing as well as presentation experience to Vice President and above positions in the development of network architecture strategies. * Have the ability to work in an open team environment as well as a nationally distributed sales environment. * Possess an acumen or direct knowledge of network analysis tools including solutions such as HP OpenView, NETIQ, Spectrum Tools, FastNet WAN, etc. network tools and software are preferred.
