Job #: 20496 Description: RESPONSIBILITIES: * The client is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company with over 340 employees which sells and markets products to community-based primary care physicians through its national primary care sales force in the United States. * Be one of an exclusive team of top performers to promote and sell clients pharmaceutical product line in assigned individual geography through the effective utilization of approved sales and marketing programs and materials and in full compliance to company policies and legal requirements governing the sale and promotion of pharmaceutical products. * Established relationships with PCPs, Cardiologists, Endocrinologists and/or IDs preferred.
* The successful candidate is one who thrives in a results-oriented environment where individual performance is highly visible throughout the organization. You will be the only sales representative for your geography: no "pods"!
* SPECIFIC DUTIES: * Establish a high impact business plan to maximize script/revenue and market share potential in assigned individual territory. * Organize territory routing for most effective use of time. * Communicate product advantages, features and benefits and play a vital role in fostering clients reputation and image. * Analyze sales and market data for assigned territory and proactively enact sales strategies to meet and exceed sales goals. * Build strong relationships with physician community and key thought leaders. * Conduct and report on field intelligence relative to prescribing practices and market dynamics within assigned territory. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: * BA/BS required; Life Sciences degree a plus
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Qualified candidates will possess the following criteria: * Min of 2 years experience selling cardiovascular pharmaceuticals with a focus on lipids * Reside in territory * Established relationships with Primary Care Physicians, Internal Medicine,Cardiologists,Endocrinologists and/or Infectious Disease Practitioners. * Previous experience selling into the Diabetes and/or Lipid Market is desirable . * Previous experience selling antibiotics desirable. * Track record of exceptional and verifiable performance * Keen understanding of disease state(s) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to present complex data and scientific information in a clear, concise and professional manner * Experience with managed care pull through programs * Accustomed to working in a highly accountable environment.
