Description: Position Title: Mgr, Account - Surgical (Health) Position Number: 50072005 Department: Field Sales Location: Manhattan, NYDescription Allergan Medical, a division of Allergan, Inc., offers the most comprehensive, science based portfolio of Total Facial Rejuvenation products available, including BOTOX Cosmetic; hyaluronic acid and collagen based dermal fillers; and physician dispensed skin care products. Allergan Medical also offers the industrys widest range of breast implant options for reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery, and leading minimally invasive devices for obesity intervention treatment. Under general guidance, will perform various duties necessary to support, train, sell and service the Allergan Medical Health product line in a specific geographic area and to ensure that the goals of Allergan Medical Health are achieved. Meet objectives for sales, service, and training for the product line in specified territory. Achieve or exceed the agreed upon sales, service, and training objectives for the product line. Educate the customer regarding indications, contraindications, and safety of the products, and how they fulfill the needs of the customer. Maintain updated knowledge of the industry and competitors products. Execute territory coverage for maximum impact on sales. Perform effective territory and account management. Maintain up to date territory files and account profiles. Pre plan sales calls and maintain efficient time management skills to ensure maximum customer contact and highest level of customer service. Provide technical training to the customer on application and use of the companys products. Perform effective product presentations and demonstrations. Prepare sales contracts, quotes, prices, and terms. Complete administrative responsibilities, quarterly business plans, weekly expense reports, up to date account profiles and computer customer database. Participate in industry related trade shows/meetings. Develop and maintain productive and effective relationships with peers, superiors and external contacts. Demonstrate a high standard of work ethics and professionalism to peers, superiors and external contacts at all times. Represent the company in a positive and supportive manner at all times.Position Requirements * Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four year College or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Five years sales experience in medical sales preferred. * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. * Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. * Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, physicians, and to respond to questions and complaints from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume. * Ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheets, flow charts, and database applications. Ability to learn software programs. * Knowledge of FDAs 21 CFR Part 820 (Quality System Regulation), and 21 CFR Part 11 (Electronic Records; Electronic Signatures). ISO 13485 2003, Council Directive 93/42/EEC June, 1993 (Medical Device Directive), and the Canadian Medical Device Regulations, 1998 and the Australian Therapeutics Goods Administration regulations (as applicable) at an advanced level. * Knowledge of medical device manufacturing or related field. * Knowledge of laparoscopic techniques and processes. * Knowledge of operating room etiquette, sterile fields, and sterile techniques. * Knowledge of sales techniques. * Skill in demonstrating a professional phone manner. * Skill in managing time effectively. * Ability to observe use of Allergan Medical products in the surgical arena or operating room environment. * Ability to work independently and plan extensively to meet goals. * Ability to thoroughly understand the attributes and qualities of Allergan Medical products. * Ability to effectively prepare and present presentations. * Ability to establish and maintain moderately complex documentation systems. * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, with many levels of employees of various disciplines and departments, as well as external contacts. * Ability to maintain accuracy, consistency and quality in a fast paced, multi task environment. * Ability to be flexible in changing workload priorities as directed. * Ability to coordinate and synchronize multiple projects. * Ability to accurately perform detail oriented work. * Ability to function in a controlled environment regulated by FDA GMPs and handle confidential data. * Ability to take initiative to make decisions within company/department guidelines, be discreet, act with diplomacy and maintain a professional attitude. * Ability to travel adequately to cover territory including overnight stays and attend trade shows and training meetings. * Ability to drive a car and possess a valid and current drivers license and personal injury liability insurance. * Ability to secure credit and maintain a good credit rating. * Ability to maintain suitable work area (including inventory) in own residence. * Ability to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and operate various office machines, including FAX and photocopier.
