Description Neutrogena Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnsons Family of Companies, is recruiting for an Assistant Product Director-Cosmetics, located in Manhattan, NY. Neutrogena Corporation develops, manufactures and markets premium skin and hair care products sold worldwide and recommended by medical professionals. The product line includes bar and liquid cleansers, shampoo, hand cream, body lotion, facial moisturizers, sun protection and cosmetics, as well as other hair and skin care products. Responsibilities will be to develop short-term tactical sales & marketing plans, and contributing to longer-term strategic plans. Implementation of tactical plan by providing appropriate promotional materials. Work across all elements of the marketing mix and use appropriate channels of communication. Monitor and control budget and access promotional effectiveness. Work productively with external agencies and cross functional groups within the organization. Develop franchise or product group strategies to achieve long term business goals; build strong network with key opinion leaders and monitor industry developments impacting business; develop innovative marketing programs based on franchise strategies and implement through sales team; support sales team in business development and through training; track competitive activities and develop strategies. Conduct market analysis and monitor competitive activity to define most pertinent needs-gap for product development. Structure competitive analysis for the major markets through market knowledge. Development of new concepts and products: portfolio management and prioritization of new opportunities through financial modeling and gap analysis backed by sound market research (concepts, formula).

Qualifications A BA/BS in Marketing or in a business related field is required. An MBA is required. Two — Four years post BA/BS work experience is strongly preferred, preferably in sales or marketing. A minimum of 1-2 years post MBA progressive marketing experience in the beauty industry is required, preferably in cosmetics. Candidates must have strong communication and negotiation skills and be resourceful with the ability to multi task. Must be able to work in a team environment, and be customer/market oriented. This position will require up to 10%% Domestic travel.
