Description Responsible for analyzing trends in delinquencies and losses for all portfolios within the Citi Cards business ($150 B in ANR), identifying opportunities and developing Collections strategy based on analyses including: * Examining macro and regional economic trends and drivers that impact portfolio dynamics * Identify unique product or portfolio behaviors that will impact delinquency, losses, and bankruptcy * Examining bureau trends and trends in alternative data sources that provide early indication of losses and delinquency * Developing insight analyses to provide to Senior Management on overall portfolio diagnostics Duties include: directing and coordinating the various activities related to delinquent and pre-delinquent portfolio diagnostics; developing and determining needed metrics to identify early warning signs of delinquency and portfolio deterioration; Acts as a subject matter expert for senior management on drivers of losses. Present and discuss insights with senior management across the cards business. Exercises usual authority of a manager including selection and development of staff, while managing a 6+ FTE organization. Effectively manages change and creates a culture of “risk awareness” where all team members share in accountability. .
Specifications / Qualifications The Sr. Manager of Delinquent Portfolio Diagnostics will have a track record of success in building and managing analytic-focused teams in the financial services industry. This individual will have substantial experience leading a team of analysts in the “analytic/diagnostic processes”, and will have a strong understanding of the cards business dynamics that will drive the analyses. Successful candidates will be articulate and possess a demonstrated leadership capability; they will have strong inter-personal effectiveness. Specifically, we seek: * A seasoned leader with at least 5-8 years of increasing responsibility at a financial institution with at least 3 years of management experience. * Over 4 years of Credit Risk Management analytic experience with a preference to one who understands the cards business * Demonstrated ability to develop partnerships with many business and functional areas * A knowledge of Collections and Collections analytics * A quantitative and analytic approach to solving business problems * A graduate degree in an analytic discipline is strongly preferred (engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics)
