Description The Smith Barney Technology Strategy Department manages the prioritization and implementation of new technology initiatives for the Private Client Division. The team works directly with Financial Advisors and all Private Client businesses to help translate business needs into technology initiatives. This involves leading interactive focus groups, writing business requirements, and managing projects through to successful implementation.

Job Description The Validation Manager is responsible for all validation activities for the GWM Desktop project. This includes ongoing management of the validation model and program, socializing and training on the process for key partners and internal stakeholders, management of the feedback database, reporting to field management, branch management and key field stakeholders, dashboards for reporting to the project team and senior management, oversight on administrative and logistical coordination for all validation exercises, oversight of the GWM Desktop Council and overall coordination of the validation event calendar. The Validation Manager will assist in developing all communications internally, to the field and to senior management around validation and training activities. This person will work closely with the Training Manager and Communications Manager as well as the technology counterparts in a way that encourages open communication and a positive work environment.

Major Job Responsibilities o Create and maintain Validation Program Plan o Maintain all Validation Process collateral o Execution oversight of Validation Program o Management oversight of Feedback Database and Participant Database programs o Management oversight of project reporting on all validation activities o Management oversight of event calendar for all validation activities o Produce and manage all communications related to Training and Validation, working in coordination with Communication Manager o Coordinate all validation activities for project timelines and milestone reporting o Coordinate all validation activities across multiple project streams and phases o Management and execution oversight for event support. o Coordination of Validation Program across all GWM sectors (miFi, HNW, UHNW)

Specifications / Qualifications TECHNICAL SKILLS: o Proficient in Microsoft office applications - Excel, Word, Power point, MS Project, Outlook o Exposure to Salesforce.com application o Financial services (brokerage and / or banking) experience on major projects with a track record of success o Experience in financial services with a specific focus in retail/broker business and associated applications o Ability to communicate effectively to all levels within the organization NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS: o Experience working in the field, with end-users o Experience working in training environment and training capacity o Strong organizational skills o Strong coordination and relationship skills to manage validation exercises across multiple project groups
