* Apply for this jobonline More information about this job: Overview: The Plant Operations department at FreshDirect is looking for a part-time operations analyst to join its team. The analyst will be responsible for examining production, labor and customer complaint data in order to support improvements to plant processes. A creative problem solver with solid analytical skills will be an excellent asset to our team. The Plant Operations department oversees picking, packing and shipping operations to complete thousands of orders a day. With hundreds of employees and thousands of products, Operations manages a large range of processes and materials.

Responsibilities: ? Research how the plant runs-how systems, people, materials and time interact in the production process-to build operations knowledge base ? Use FreshDirect's operating and business intelligence reporting platforms (e.g., SAP, Business Objects, MS Excel) to analyze production, labor and customer complaint data to find ways to improve plant operations ? Provide reporting support to plant managers on an ad-hoc basis

Qualifications: ? Working towards or has completed BA/BS in operations-related field (Engineering, Business Mgmt, etc) ? Prior work experience in operations, logistics, warehousing or manufacturing preferred; experience in a work environment which extensively utilized MS Excel required ? Excellent written and oral communication skills o Able to present numerical data in a concise, logical and useful manner o Able to write for and work with a wide range of audiences, from executives to line workers ? Enjoys operating in a fast-paced, team environment under time constraints ? Able to work 15 to 20 hours per week (or more) between the hours of 6am and 8pm Monday through Friday ? Interested in pursuing a career in operations analysis on a full-time basis
