More information about this job: Job Description: We have an opening for a seasoned Human Resource Manager in the Flushing, NY area. This position will encompass general human resource operational needs with an emphasis on dealing with labor relations. The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: Interact with District Managers, Regional Security Managers, and the Labor Relations department to monitor compliance with labor union regulations and investigate labor union grievances. Interact with regional management teams to discuss their labor requirements and training needs and to identify and create strategies to reduce associate turnover.

Experience / Requirements: Minimum age of 21 years old due to the experience and business travel required. Ability to travel on a regular basis to store locations (company vehicle provided). Ability to pass drug test. Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated. Ability to preserve confidentiality of information. Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects. Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes. Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines. Ability and commitment to develop and mentor Rite Aid associates. Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and state and federal employment law.

Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required- advanced degree in labor relations and/or a labor certificate preferred. Five (5) plus years labor and/or retail management experience a plus. In addition, either a Human Resources or Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certificate is preferred.
