Description: Junior Property Accountant For Downtown Brooklyn Developer

One of New Yorks most successful real estate developers has a newly created position for a Junior Property Accountant. Working under the direct supervision of the Controller, the Junior Property Accountant will oversee and review the accuracy of all A/P and A/R transactions including processing of invoices and checks. Additionally, the successful candidate will perform journal entries, and participate in monthly closing. Good communication skills are important, as the Junior Property Accountant will interact extensively with tenants and vendors. Two or more years real estate accounting experience is required, as is a four year degree or degree in progress. Knowledge of MRI software a plus. This position offers a direct growth track to a Property Controller role, and the opportunity to take on increasing levels of responsibility over time. Great location.
