Description: Job Title Assistant Store Coach, Home Electronics Business Stores - Sears State/City NY Brooklyn Job Summary The Assistant Store Coach, Home Electronics is responsible for the overall merchandising and replenishment of the Home Electronics department and accountable for total store performance, including customer experience, associate development, sales, and profitability. The Assistant Store Coach, Home Electronics acts as a role model for and ensures that all associates understand their respective roles in providing a fast, in-stock, and helpful customer experience by greeting and acknowledging all customers. This position is responsible for the overall financial performance of the store. This includes merchandise sales, credit and other miscellaneous revenues, expense management, and achievement of profitability goals. In addition, this position is also accountable for customer satisfaction and associate morale. The Assistant Store Coach, Home Electronics is responsible for identifying local customer market demands and working with the store support and district teams to make adjustments to assortment and merchandising strategy to meet local customer needs. Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements Customer - Proactively lead the Home Electronics organization in providing excellent customer service by greeting and acknowledging all customers. - Act as role model for and empower associates to provide outstanding customer service (e.g. acting as customer service manager on a regular basis). People - Develop a high-performance team by selecting, training, coaching, and developing effective associates and hourly associates in the Home Electronics department. - Ensure that all associates understand the meaning of and embrace fast, in-stock, and helpful behaviors in their roles. Sales - Proactively lead (e.g. planning for upcoming sales) the Home Electronics department to ensure achievement of sales goals. - Take ownership for full implementation of corporate programs and initiatives on merchandising. Profit - Fully optimize credit (e.g. share, AccountCare, new accounts) and other miscellaneous income opportunities (e.g. protection agreements, installation, gift card, home service leads) within the Home Electronics department and store. - Proactively lead the Home Electronics department to achieve profit goals through management of margins (via communication to home office on assortment levels), expense control and execution of inventory protection standards.
