Montefiore Medical Center is a not-for-profit integrated health care delivery system located inBronx County,New York. The system includes a total of 1,122 acute care beds; a wide range of ambulatory care services; medical education and research; and community outreach and service programs. Montefiore is theUniversityHospitalfor, and the primary affiliate of, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In FY06, MMC reported total operating revenue of over $2 billion, income from operations of over $44.5 million and total assets in excess of $1.6 billion.

MMC currently operates the following services: · Three acute care hospitals: 1. The Henry and Lucy Moses Hospital Division (Moses), a 726-bed hospital located in the northwestBronx; 2. The Childrens Hospital At Montefiore (CHAM), a 106-bed pediatric facility located on the Moses Division campus; and 3. The Jack D. Weiler Hospital Division at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Weiler), a 396-bed hospital in theEast Bronx. · The Montefiore Medical Group, a primary care network with 21 community-based satellites located throughout the Bronx andWestchesterCounty, which in 2006 provided over 750,000 primary care visits. · Two major specialty care campuses located in the east and westBronxat which the full-time faculty provide over 425,000 visits of specialty care annually. · One of the nations oldest and largest hospital-based home health agencies, providing over 420,000 home visits per year. · A methadone maintenance treatment program serving over 4,000 clients.

As Monetfiore’s chief human resources officer, the Senior Vice President, Human Resources will have responsibility for defining and implementing a human resources vision and related human resources strategic plan consistent with the mission, values, and the strategic plan of Montefiore Medical Center. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, Operations and serving as a key member of the executive leadership team, this individual will provide leadership and direction in developing and implementing programs to include: HRIS and specifically the SAP HRIS implementation; performance evaluation management; compensation; benefit plan design; HR administration and communication; leadership development; training; organizational development; employee relations; and staffing. The SVP, HR will likewise play a leading role inMontefiore’s pursuit of a responsive, collaborative, and equitable labor relations policy.

MontefioreMedicalCenteris seeking candidates who possess ten or more years in increasingly responsible management positions within human resources, accompanied by three years recent experience as a senior human resources executive. A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field will be required and a Master’s degree in business administration, human resources management, or organizational development is highly preferred. Candidates should present with a broad knowledge of HRIS, employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development; experience working with organized labor in the development of a positive and collaborative approach to labor relations will be highly desirable. A track record of providing leadership within a corporation or a health system recognized for its innovative and accountable human resource function will be essential. Health care experience willnotbe required.
