Description: Requisition Number Information Technology 128a Title Sr. Systems Engineer (Intel & Citrix) City Union State NJ Country United States Job Specifications We are seeking an experienced Intel Servers - Systems Engineer to assist with the implementation, maintenance and daily operations of our Microsoft Windows server systems and our Citrix XPE farms. The successful candidate will have extensive MS Windows Active Directory, Intel server experience in a large enterprise as well as Citrix implementation and support experience for large Citrix - XPE farms. Citrix XPE farm operations and performance management will be a primary focus of this position. The environment consists of a large high density HP Proliant infrastructure running a mix on Windows 2000 and 2003 Server, including a Citrix XPE 3.0 farm, Veritas NetBackup, ADIC Scalar enterprise implementations and attached EMC Clariion SAN. The successful candidate for the position of Sr. Systems Engineer (Intel) within the IT - Technology & Operations group will be expected to perform the following tasks: Server Builds, Load Testing, Performance Tuning, Capacity Planning and Sizing, Operating System Installation and Configuration, Operating System Upgrades & Patches, System and Process Monitoring, Process Documentation, Citrix Support & Implementation, Veritas NetBackup support, ADIC Scalar Robotic Tape Library support, Evaluation of New Technology and Help Desk Ticket Resolution. Job Requirements . Experience installing and supporting Windows operating systems . Experience configuring and troubleshooting HP Proliant servers . Experience with Enterprise level backup systems . Experience with server monitoring and tuning utilities . Experience with Active Directory trees and forests including multiple domains and OUs . Working knowledge of Ethernet and Fiber Channel networks . Ability to conceptualize alternative approaches to problem resolution . Ability to adjust, sort and distinguish priorities . Ability to take ownership of an assignment through to completion and work effectively with people from different departments within an organization . Detail oriented .
