Job Specifications As a HBA/HBC buyer for our Harmon stores you will be responsible for going to market to select new items, purchase the product and build a strong rapport with the vendors to ensure the best buy of the products. Will analyze business (high volume, multiple categories) to find trends on product patterns and will help design products to create an exclusive product line. The Buyers main function is to build product lines in tune with divisional merchandise strategies that generate sales and margin. Negotiations with vendors on availability, product specs, distribution, delivery deadlines and price are fundamental aspects of the job, geared towards maximizing the companys profits and surpassing margin goals. Job Requirements Qualifications include 3-5 years buying experience, preferably with an in-depth knowledge of the middle to high-end home market, and sound negotiating and communication skills.
