RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assisting the Food Service Director in establishing and maintaining systems and procedures for the ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving of food and related products. * Menu planning and development. * Assist in unit forecast and unit accounting. * Ensures that requirements for appropriate sanitation and safety levels in respective areas are met. * Coordinates and supervises unit personnel regarding production, merchandising, quality and cost control. * Labor scheduling, staffing and employee training. * Conducts period inventory * Performs other functions such as maintaining records to comply with ARAMARK, government and accrediting agency standards The continued success of our dynamic business depends heavily on the Assistant Food Service Directors ability to be Customer Focused with a strong appreciation for Time Management.
Qualifications * Bachelors Degree in Hospitality or Business Management preferred * Previous K-12 experience or prior food service/resturant experience preferred * Candidate must be a self starter with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, clients customers, and support staff. * Ability to respond effectively to changing demands. * Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications. * P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
