But more than speed, we focus our energies on accuracy. Currently we are seeking aField Service Installer. Basic Purpose: Working independently as a Field Service Installer and perform onsite visits to complete installation, training, and service for numerous Quest Diagnostics connectivity products. As an installer, the candidates should expect to spend 90%% of the time on site at physician offices, clinics and hospitals. The successful candidate will have direct face-to-face interaction with our clients and must be able to communicate in a clear and professional manner to both technical and non-technical personnel. Patience is a must, along with the ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude in stressful situations. The ability to multi-task and handle simple and complex issues as they present themselves is essential. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Onsite installation, training and service of various connectivity products, which include complete computer systems (CPU, keyboard & mouse), printers, modems, monitors and routers. 2. Establish connectivity via dial-up modem, DSL, or Cable modem. 3. Configure router (if applicable) with filters and usernames and passwords using hyperterminal. 4. Installation and service of Care360 Bridge software. 5. Training clients technical and non-technical staff on Care360 application. 6. May be asked to act as a liason between client and application support on software issues and to involve necessary parties in the resolution of application bugs. Main Duties: Install and test Quest Diagnositcs order and reporting systems and train customers staff on proper operation of the product. Troubleshoot and repair all problems on these systems in response to customer service calls. May also act as second-line of support on all Quest Diagnostics order and reporting systems. Supports the Sr. Analyst or Manager in ensuring updates to products and databases are tested and distributed seamlessly. Interacts with vendors to resolve client issues regarding bridges, downloads, and telecom. Provide demonstration of any locally utilized Quest Diagnostics order and reporting system to internal or external customers in support of Quest Diagnostics Sales staff. Responsible for daily monitorying of systems and ensuring timely receipt of orders and results. Update project data in NIKU TIme and customer call tickets in Peregrine. Continually communicate product needs of customers to Client Systems Manager in order to provide timely customer feedback to Sales. Remain current with new technology/features/platforms of Quest Diagnostics products and educate the Sales team on these product changes/offerings. Maintain a strong working knowledge of telecommunication products. Maintain appropriate Quest on Demand databases including equipment inventory, telecome and client. Maintain current knowledge of compliance requirements. Traveling to sites in the New York and New Jersey vicinity. Education: BS in computer science, siness or Laboratory Sciences or equivalent experience required. MCSE Certification preferred. Work Experience: 1. A+ certification desired. 2. 4+ years of IT experience or laboratory experience with a strong working knowledge of PC and telecommunications required. 4+ years of PC experience with customer service responsibilities. Experience conducting product demonstrations, conducting training for in-house staff and the development of training plans.. 3. Basic Networking knowledge. 4. Knowledge of modems, DSL and cable ISP services. 5. Windows 95 and later OS knowledge and troubleshooting ability. 6. The ability to lift computer equipment and related hardware up to 75 pounds as well as good driving record required. Special Requirement: Valid Drivers license required less than 3 points. Position requires excellent oral communication, presentation skills and written skills. Strong organizational and planning skills required. 95%% local travel required. May require on-call time. Ability to lift computer equipment (approximately 50-60 lb) required. Detailed knowledge of the existing laboratory and billing systems and laboratory compliance laws preferred.
