Sony Professional Services a division of Sony’s Broadcast and Business Solutions Company is seeking a candidate for the position ofDigitalCinema Installation Technician. The successful candidate will specialize in installation services for the motion picture/theater industry in assigned key geographical areas within the U.S. Based out of a home location located on the East Cost, the Installation Technician will travel to movie theaters to perform installation and initial set-up of Sony’s Digital Cinema theater systems. The individual chosen for this fascinating and challenging role will be responsible for the general assembly and audio and visual mounting of projection equipment. This will include physical placement of the projection system plus lens attachment and lamp installation, connecting electrical wiring, power, exhaust and Ethernet systems for secured movie content delivery as well as fire alarm circuit and automation controls. The Installation Technician will work both alone and under general supervision receiving guidance from a senior member of our Field Engineering team. Duties will include administrative tasks in support of the installation included but not limited to

Qualifications * 2 years of prior related electronic or electrical installation experience required, preferably in non-consumer business products. * In addition, we require candidates with the following specific experience: Low voltage electrical wiring, termination and connection of low voltage wiring, plug connection of 208 V 3 ph 30 A electrical power, audio wiring, video wiring, PC connection, Ethernet connection, hand tools and power tools for bolting, leveling, tilt adjustment, and secure mounting of lens and other associated equipment. * High School degree or equivalent required. AA degree in Electronics Technology or a related field of study is preferred. Valid driver’s license is a requirement. * Knowledge of computer network connections, data entry, IP configuration, naming convention data entry, verification of network connectivity is preferred. * Knowledge of PC skills, including MS Office, MS Windows OS, and Linux OS are preferred. * Candidate must be independent, work productively under minimal supervision, have excellent problem solution skills and also possess the ability to work smoothly in a team-based environment. As well, this position requires a candidate who displays outstanding communication and customer service skills. * The ability to travel on an 80%% basis is a must. * The flexibility to work nights and weekends as it relates to servicing the Digital Cinema business is a requirement. * The position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, lift, kneel, push, pull, rotate and carry on a regular and alternating basis throughout the work period.
