Requirements:

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE


Requirements:



1. Networking experience: LAN experience with routers, bridges, switches, TCP/IP and Ethernet.


2. Communication: Lease Line, Radio (154/900 MHZ), Spread Spectrum, cable, Internet. Hands-on preferred.


3. PC: Hardware (NIC, modems, 232/485)


4. Operating Systems: OpenVMS, NT, Microsoft Windows


5. Fluent understanding of electrical/electronic schematics and interconnection diagrams


6. Industry Experience: Utility Power, Municipal, Coop., IOU (Investor Owned), Transportation PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), DCS (Distributed Control Systems)


7. PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) knowledge.


8. Software Programming knowledge, languages, source control, release, distribution, etc.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



1. Oversee the design and test of SCADA systems using various QEI components (hardware & software).



2. Read and Understand technical specifications. Apply specification to system design and quotations/proposals.


3. Develop drawings (Interconnection & Layouts), Parts List and specifications documents to develop and test hardware/software.


4. Participate in the integration, loading, configuration and testing of SCADA, networking and communication hardware and software.


5. Periodically travel to the field to startup and troubleshoot systems/equipment.


6. Manage Application documentation (User Manuals) that they are current with most recent software releases.
