Assistant Manager Position Overview: To understand all aspects of store operations, including visual merchandising, asset protection, and expense control, as well as ensuring everything is done with the client top of mind. This position is assigned one of four Divisions of Responsibility (DOR), which rotate on a regular basis (Human Resources, Merchandise, Operations and Business). The Assistant Manager should have an understanding of each DOR prior to being considered for a Senior Assistant Manager position. Position Requirements: . Human Resources: Ability to recruit others and provide positive or constructive feedback to associates . Client Service: Ability to function as a role model, ensuring that client remains the top priority . Organization: Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines . Merchandising: Knowledge of visual standards and techniques, and ability to implement within Ann Taylors guidelines . Communication: Demonstration of strong verbal communication skills to Senior Assistant Manager, Store Manager, Area Manager, District Manager/Director and store associates . Business Analysis: Ability to understand and use Ann Taylors tools to drive volume; understand trends in the business . Educational Requirements and Experience: . Minimum Requirements: Associates or Bachelors degree preferred .
