Panasonic is seeking to hire a full-time National Marketing Manager for Accessories. The National Marketing Manager will have national responsibility for marketing and merchandising of (related category) in PCEC Product and Marketing group.
1. Responsible for P&L achievement for related category. 2. Development of new products/features/pricing/technologies with factories. 3. Analyze category market trends and communicate the needs of the marketplace, competitive conditions, and make recommendations for required actions. 4. Establish and achieve category budget and inventory target on a monthly and annual basis. 5. Establish and control category P&L and all category related expenses such as MCA and Sales promotional funding. 6. Plan, implement, and control all Sales Promotions working with factories and finance department to request and secure the proper funding required. 7. Provide category-marketing/channel distribution strategy to the Sales Group, National PCMs and channel partners. 8. Supply training group with proper information and tools to provide product training to the sales force and channel partners retail staff. 9. Work with NPCMs and Sales Group to develop channel partner sales programs and product assortments, and to help expand the channel partner base and product assortments. 10. Visit key dealers and work closely with NPCMs and Sales Group staff on a regular basis. 11. Work with Sales Group and National PCMs regarding SCM, sales projections, inventory management and purchase plans. 12. Develop and control advertising strategy in conjunction with the Brand Strategy Group. 13. Conduct market surveys on current and new product concepts and provide feedback for future product development.
Resource Management Responsibilities: ? Demonstrate history of creativity and achievement. ? Frequent, high level contact with Channel Partners. ? Extensive Travel Required up to 40%%. ? Ability to multi-task. ? Must have strong leadership qualities enabling the ability to influence and lead others.
Communication Requirements:
? Effectively interact with HQ, sales group, overseas and domestic factories as well as key channel partners. ? Strong presentation skills. ? Must have strong computer skills in Excel, Work, Power Point and Outlook.
Education and Experience:
? 5+ Years of product, marketing, and sales management experience in specific or related product areas ? 4-year college degree required ? Strong knowledge of channels of distribution in related industry
