Description: Requisition #: CRPS17126 Division: Corporate Staff Job Title: Sr. Instructional Designer Country: United States State: New Jersey City: Roseland Location : Roseland-1 ADP Blvd Employment Status: Full Time - Permanent Job Responsibilities: (Description) Design, create, and develop learning solutions to meet needs of ADP wide associate and management development. Analyze and select the most appropriate strategy, methodologies and technologies to maximize the learning experience and business impact. Viewed as an expert in the field of Instructional System Design. Capable of developing learning solutions in multiple media with emphasis on blended learning solutions. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Incorporates sound principles of current cognition and adult learning theory to the practice of instructional design. 2. Builds partnerships and relationships among the participants in a learning design project and establishes sign-off and approval processes for each step of the design process. 3. Partnering with a Relationship/Delivery Manager, analyzes their findings and synthesizes information into the design and development process; identifies learning options; creates high level implementation plan and defines basic outcomes of the learning solution. 4. Selects, modifies, or cerates an appropriate design or specification document and development model or plan for a given project; identifies and documents measurable learning objectives; selects and uses a variety of techniques to define, structure and sequence the instructional content and strategies; designs instructional content to reflect an understanding of the diversity of learners or groups of learners; builds into the design on-the-job application tools and learning aids. 5. Integrates existing and emerging learning resources and technologies to achieve learning goals; integrates new materials and technologies with existing learning resources to produce an effective blended solution. 6. May direct, assign or manage the work of others on the design team to accomplish project goals and objectives. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: 1A) Supervisor: Director, Learning Solutions Design and Development B)Supervision Received: General 2) Supervisory Authority: Informal supervision of design team SPECIAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Inability to meet business needs with effective and efficiently developed learning solutions could have a negative impact on meeting the growth goals and objectives of ADP. QualificationsRequired (Experience, Skills, Academic): 1. Education: Bachelors Degree required (concentration in Instructional Design, Human Factors or English); masters Degree in Instructional Design; Instructional Performance Technology; Business or Organizational Development related field preferred. 2. Experience: 5 - 8 years of experience in training, instructional design; human resources or related field. Experience managing complex projects 3. Generic Skills: Highly developed creative and business writing skills; open, flexible approach and superior problem-solving abilities; technical expertise with multiple development tools; well developed business and financial acumen; solid project management skills; extensive knowledge of instructional design/adult learning principles with deep expertise in blended learning solutions.
