Description: Position Title Jr. Application & Database Developer Business Division Global Specialty Operations - Animal Health Country U.S.A. Location NJ Roseland Job Description The Junior Application and Database Programmer position is instrumental to the development of new features and common modules within reusable service components for our transactional, public, e-commerce, support/administrative websites. This resource will also be developing other web based tools required to support our sales field force and customer service team. During the development life cycle for all projects this resource will have the following responsibilities: - Provide accurate input regarding project scope, objective and delivery timeframes - Write detailed technical design requirements - Develop quality software applications meeting/exceeding the user expectations - Proactively communicate any required requirement or technical changes - Create and execute detailed unit test plans - Support project manager and team during system/user acceptance testing and production implementation - Ability to work closely with outsourced development vendor and other interface partners This resource will need to troubleshoot and resolve any website production issues and/or questions from the customer support or other business team members. Identify and understand common issues and determine next steps for process or system improvements. Candidate should be able to rapid develop prototypes based on very high-level requirements in the Java/J2EE and .Net environments. Minimal education required for this job Bachelors Degree -- Any Skills Extensive experience developing with Java, J2EE, EJB, JavaBeans, JDBC, JSP, Servlets and XML, HTML technologies, ASP.Net, PHP, Flash, ColdFusion - Strong working knowledge of web/application servers Apache, BEA Weblogic and Microsoft IIS, with experience in Wily Interscope tool set - Strong experience developing web application with Oracle 9i and SQL Server database - Good experience with associating web applications to utility programs like HBX and Google Analytics - Experience working in Linux, AIX, Windows 2003 and Unix operating systems - Working knowledge of tools and best practices for web security and encryption/decryption Employment Type Regular Full- or Part-Time Full-Time Work Schedule Day Requisition I.D. 22178BR
