Description: Requisition #: CRPS17109 Division: Corporate Staff Job Title: Director - Learning Solutions Design & Development Country: United States State: New Jersey City: Roseland Location : Roseland-1 ADP Blvd Employment Status: Full Time - Permanent Job Responsibilities: (Description) Directs the design, development and measurement methods for all ADP University learning and development solutions. Ensures that design, development methodology and content of learning and development solutions apply accepted adult learning theories and models and utilize blended learning as appropriate. Analyzes and selects appropriate technologies based on a needs-driven approach in order to accomplish learning goals and objectives. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Leads a team to create and drive a "one-ADP" approach to learning excellence; oversees the design, development and evaluation of learning practices that are aligned with business needs. 2. Advances continuous learning at ADP by designing and developing global learning solutions that are blended and support the needs of the businesses. 3. Recognized as a thought leader in learning, uses this knowledge and deep knowledge of the businesses to build the latest approaches to learning into all design frameworks; leads the definition of short and long-term learning strategies and goals to leverage current learning trends. 4. Builds alliances with other ADP learning professionals to collaborate and align learning strategies to achieve economies of scale and ROI. 5. Collaborates with Bu training colleagues to avoid duplication of learning practices, drives standardization across all learning solution areas ensuring the use of consistent best practices. 6. Oversees the individual responsible for the management of establishing standard evaluation methodology and measuring business impact for strategic L&D solutions. 7. Conducts periodic milestone reviews with the global HR community and its business leaders to ensure learning programs that are being developed are meeting client expectations. 8. Solicit feedback from others to reassess current learning practices in light of how they need to change to support the businesses. 9. When appropriate, creates RFPs and manages external providers so they develop programs that are cost effective, business relevant and global. 10. Collaborate with Learning Systems management to integrate learning solutions into ADPs learning management system and to ensure technological capabilities of solutions on a global basis. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: 1A) Supervisor: VP, ADP University B) Supervision Received: General Direction 2) Supervisory Authority: Direct a team of approximately 4-5 professionals involved in the design and development of courses and programs and one manager responsible for the overall evaluation and business impact strategy for ADP University. SPECIAL ACCOUNTABILITY: Ineffective management of the responsibilities of this position can directly, and fairly quickly, result in 1) loss of credibility of ADP University 2) ineffective or irrelevant training 3) incompetent or ineffective training design or facilitation 4) being over budget. For items 1 -3 above, once negatively affected, credibility is difficult to regain. QualificationsRequired (Experience, Skills, Academic): 1. Education: Minimum of BA or BS (Masters preferred) or equivalent. 2. Experience: 8 - 10 years experience in Business, HR, Training, and/or consulting. At least 5 years experience in management, or in providing leadership and direction to exempt level professionals. Virtual management experience would be a plus. 3. Generic Skills: Business literacy, excellent relationship management, consultative communication skills, influence, ability to work cross-functionally, problem solving. Working knowledge and understanding of learning initiatives, design methodologies and practices, especially in using blended approaches, and evaluation and business impact strategies.
