More information about this job: Overview: This position provides fabric research and development for the Mid-Tier Womens division. The right candidate will work directly with the Fabric Manager and partner closely with the design and production teams, as well as our overseas offices and outside vendors. Will also be responsible for working closely with divisions as a direct contact person.

Responsibilities: .Will handle and track all fabric research/development for the Mid-Tier Womens division to handle from concept to bulk. .Work with overseas offices to obtain fabric detail sheets, coordinate proto yardage and start handlooms/strike-offs for sample yardage. .Coordinate new tailoring yardages for proto making .Redevelop inspiration qualities into price points fitting our brands .View color as a collection; coordination with the knitwear portion of the line .Source projects for design teams using internal fabric library, overseas offices, as well as outside sources, i.e. meeting with fabric mills and other vendors .Maintain fabric library as a useful tool for R&D and design .Communicate hand standard approvals to overseas offices .Attend bi-weekly seasonal fabric shows to gain trend knowledge for upcoming season .Work on seasonal fabric presentations to design and management including inspiration boards .Communicate daily with overseas offices and internal departments .Attend weekly design flow meetings and follow up on current issues .Shop stores on a regular basis for new fabrics and trends .Work within a tight calendar to ensure deadlines are met for showroom/market presentations & bulk approvals.

Qualifications: Qualifications: .2-3 years fabric sourcing or design experience .Degree in textile or other design related field, from an accredited school .Team player .Excellent communication skills and follow up skills .Highly organized and able to multi task .Needs to be self-sufficient and a go-getter
